Members of the Conservative Party of Canada in Sturgeon River-Parkland nominated Dane Lloyd to be their candidate on September 24 after two days of voting in Stony Plain and Morinville.

Lloyd, a former parliamentary advisor and infantry officer in the Canadian Armed Forces reserves, will now carry the Conservative banner in the October 23rd Federal by-election to replace the Hon. Rona Ambrose.
